THE 24 HOUR CAFE: UPLIFTING AND COSY READ

Libby’s second novel, the story is told from the perspective of two characters Hannah and Mona. Both fall into the other’s life when they meet at a party and as a result of an instant friendship decide to live together in a house share in London. The story follows their journey as their friendship is ultimately tested when Mona gets her dream job in Paris.

Based around the cafe the story follows the girls as they work in the cafe and is cleverly interjected with stories of those who visit the cafe itself something I personally would have loved more of as they felt real and honest.

A beautiful story, Libby’s writing is cosy and familiar, like snuggling up on the sofa on a rainy day with a candle lit. It’s uplifting, comfortable and heart-warming in equal measure and you can’t help but get lost in the life of the cafe. A love story with a difference: it made for a refreshing touch on love and friendship.

This book was gifted in exchange for an honest review.
